Expand a Pool with Lanes
A lane is a complete definition of the creators you want. Add another lane to widen a pool, so a creator can qualify a different way without changing your first definition.
Learn how to add a lane, rename and hide it, and compare how your lanes overlap.
Before you start
Open a pool with at least one criterion in the editor. Make sure you know how lanes combine with each other.
Add a lane
In the side panel, choose one of these routes:
- Add an alternative lane: Starts an empty lane and opens the Add criteria menu. Use it when the new audience shares little with your first lane.
- Duplicate as a new lane: Copies the first lane’s criteriaOne condition a creator has to meet, such as Location or Profession. into a lane named after it, such as Lane 1 (copy). Use it when the new audience differs by one criterionOne condition a creator has to meet, such as Location or Profession., such as another city.
The side panel then reads Match creators in any of these ways:, with an OR between the lanes. Each lane shows its own creator count. The pool holds every creator who matches any visible lane, plus your shortlistA creator you shortlist stays in the pool, even when they stop matching your criteria..
Change, rename, hide, or remove a lane
Each lane’s header holds its controls, and you can use them in any order:
- Change a lane: Edit it with the same controls you used for your first lane. Change a value, add a criterionOne condition a creator has to meet, such as Location or Profession., or remove one.
- Rename a lane: Select Edit lane name beside the lane’s name and type what the lane describes, such as the city it covers. A clear name tells your teammates what the lane holds.
- Hide a lane: Select the eye to preview the pool without the lane. The lane dims, and the creator count and results change. Select the eye again to show the lane.
- Remove a lane: Select the X on the lane’s header. The side panel returns to Looking for creators who: when one lane is left.
Lane edits wait for Save and show Unsaved changes until then.
Compare lanes
Select See how lanes overlap. The Lane overlap dialog counts each creator who matches more than one lane once. The following table says what its columns show.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| CREATORS | How many creators the lane matches. |
| ONLY HERE | How many of them match no other lane. |
| One column per lane | How many creators the row’s lane shares with that lane. |
