Prepare rationales and sample content
A rationale is the written case for a creator, and sample content is the evidence behind it. Together they are what a brand reads before deciding, and they are the difference between a lineup that looks like a list and one that looks like a recommendation.
Before you start
Finish the roster first. Generate Rationales covers the roster as it stands, so creators you add afterward arrive without one and need a second pass. Connect the campaign first too, since its brief becomes the review’s context automatically.
How to prepare rationales
Context comes before generation. The context is what Fohr writes the rationales against, so generating first produces drafts you will rewrite.
Add the review context
Select Add Context and describe what you are judging this review on: the priorities, the categories, the evidence that matters, and the tone.
A review connected to a campaign already carries that campaign’s brief. Add what the brief does not say rather than restating it, for example a client preference that came up on a call, or a category the brief treats as secondary but the brand cares about.
Generate the rationales
Select Generate Rationales to draft a case for each creator on the roster.
These are drafts. Treat the output as a first pass that saves typing, not as copy ready to send.
Read and edit every one
Open each creator and read the draft under WHY THIS CREATOR. Edit anything that overstates, repeats the statistics already on the card, or would fit any creator in the section.
A rationale you write by hand takes precedence over a generated draft, so regenerating later does not overwrite your edits. Use the Add rationale for control on that creator’s row to write one from scratch.
Every creator now carries a rationale a brand can read. Sample content is what backs it up.
How to curate sample content
Sample content has two tiers, and the product states the split in its own empty state. Pin any post to add it as sample content, and feature one to represent the creator.
- Open the creator and find SAMPLE CONTENT SUGGESTIONS. Fohr suggests posts that either perform best or match the review’s context, so the shortlist is already relevant.
- Pin the posts that support the rationale. These become the creator’s SAMPLE CONTENT, and Add more content reaches beyond the suggestions.
- Select FEATURE on one post. This is the single example standing for the creator, so choose the one that makes the case fastest rather than the one that performed best.
Check what you selected against what the rationale claims. A rationale about a brand’s aesthetic sitting next to unrelated content is the fastest way to lose a reviewer’s trust in the whole lineup.
Sample content applies inside this review only. Pinning and featuring never change the creator’s own profile.
Troubleshooting
Two questions come up most often when you prepare rationales, and both have a quick answer:
A creator has no rationale after generating #
You added them after the generation ran. Generation covers the roster as it stood, so creators you add later need the Add rationale for control on their own row, or another generation pass.
The rationales read generically across a section #
The context is too thin to separate one creator from another. Add what actually distinguishes candidates in this review to Add Context, then regenerate. Rationales you have already edited by hand survive the regeneration.
