Connect YouTube
YouTube connects through Google’s own YouTube API, so you authorize it with the Google account that manages your channel. Three things make the connection work:
| What you need | Why |
|---|---|
| An active YouTube channel with content | Fohr reads your channel and video metrics, so an empty channel gives brands nothing to evaluate. |
| The right Google account | Your channel has to belong to the Google account you connect with. If you use a Brand Account for your channel, sign in to the Google account that manages it. |
| A channel in good standing | Strikes or restrictions on your channel can block API access, which stops the connection working. |
Google asks you to authorize channel info, subscriber stats, video analytics, and audience demographics. Declining any of them can leave the connection broken. You can revoke access later in your Google Account settings.
Troubleshooting
One question comes up most often when a connection goes quiet, and it has a quick answer:
YouTube stops showing new content #
Changing your Google account password, or revoking Fohr’s access from your Google Account settings, disconnects it from Fohr. Reconnect it from Connect Accounts.
