# Review creators

DRAFT. SaaS audience. Created 2026-09-29 (Ana). Doc set: internal/creator-review-doc-set.md
NOT IN NAVIGATION ON PURPOSE. See the admin set's index.mdx comment block.

DERIVED FROM THE ADMIN SET 2026-09-30 during the context/how-to restructure, then
audience-corrected by hand. Client View, God mode, and magic links are Fohr-internal and
are deliberately absent. The evidence notes below were gathered on an admin account, so
nothing here has been seen through a SaaS account's own permissions. Ryan offered to
explain the SaaS difference on the 2026-09-29 call and never did: still open.

VERIFIED HANDS-ON 2026-09-29 against a POPULATED Review screen, on test review 33959
("DOCS TEST - WriteChoice - do not use", brand "Fohr Test"), built for this purpose with Ana's
authorization. Confirmed there:
  - Review mode is a separate route: /creator-review-brand/<id>?admin-preview=true
  - Header: the Build / Review switch, "Reviewers", "Client View".
  - Layout controls, exactly three: "Grid", "List", "Theatre". Only the labels are verified; what
    each one renders was not observed, so the per-layout descriptions are still reasoning from the
    names. The product spells it "Theatre"; kept as-is per writer-skill's mirror-the-product rule.
  - Filters: "Tags: All" and "Hide Passed". The control is "Hide Passed", NOT "Show passed" as the
    Notion guide calls it. An earlier draft of this page carried the guide's wording. Corrected.
  - "Portfolio Stats · All sections · 1 of 2 creators".
  - Per creator: "APPROVE", "PASS", "Open comments", "Drag to reorder".
  - Stats labeled per platform: INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS / ENG / P75 / SHARE and the TikTok equivalents.
    A creator missing a platform reads "TikTok not connected".
  - Empty Alternates lane: "0 creators", "0 views", "Drag creators here for Alternates."
  - Dragging shows "DROP TO ASSIGN SECTION OR REMOVE", a target per section and lane, and
    "Remove from review".

THE SECTION REQUIREMENT, resolved 2026-09-29 after a long false trail. Review showed "No creators
yet" for a published round on every review checked. It was NOT a bug, and NOT the Unassigned
Creators setting, which was enabled throughout. Creators must sit in a real section. Moving them
out of Unassigned (bulk select, then "Actions", then "Move to <section>") populated Review
immediately. Neither the product nor Fohr's own in-product guide states this. Raised with Fohr:
see internal/flags-for-fohr.md.

CREATOR DETAIL PANEL, verified hands-on 2026-09-29 on the same test review:
  - Header: handle, a star, location, bio, and "Instagram" and "Fohr Profile" links out.
  - Badges for the creator's section and lane, e.g. "MAIN" and "TOP PICK".
  - Blocks in order: INSTAGRAM STATS, ENG RATE, CONTRIBUTION, TAGS, WHY THIS CREATOR,
    SAMPLE CONTENT, SAMPLE CONTENT SUGGESTIONS.
  - Empty states: "No tags yet.", "No rationale yet.", and for sample content
    "No sample content yet. Pin any post from below to add it as sample content, and feature one
    to represent this creator." That last string is the product confirming the two tiers.
  - Each suggestion carries a "FEATURE" control. "Add more content" sits below them.
  - Navigation: "Previous creator", "Next creator", "Toggle comments".
  - Roster view also shows "PLATFORM COMPARISON", a "Sort: Custom Order" filter, a per-section
    pending count ("2 pending"), and lane totals ("TOP PICKS / 2 creators / 57K views").

NOT FOUND, and this matters: there is no note control anywhere in the creator detail panel. Ryan
described notes on the 2026-09-29 call as a one-per-creator sticky note distinct from comments, and
Fohr's internal guide repeats it. Only comments were found. Either notes are not shipped, or they
sit somewhere this pass did not reach. The Notes section below is written from Ryan's description
alone and must be confirmed or cut before publishing. Raised in internal/flags-for-fohr.md.

STILL NOT VERIFIED: who can edit tags on a SaaS account, and the pass-reason dialog. An
automated PASS click did not resolve in two attempts, so the dialog was never seen.

MISSING ASSET: the Notion guide's fifth Loom has a script but no URL. No walkthrough until it lands.

Review is the clean surface where the decisions actually happen. Both the everyone with access work here, on the same list, with different controls. It is a separate route from Build, so the review's address changes when you switch modes.

{/* SUPADEMO PLACEHOLDER
   A Supademo belongs here. Per writer-skill it sits right after the intro paragraph, introduced
   with a lead-in sentence using "Explore" as the verb, and embedded as:
     <Video src="{supademo embed url}" title="..." />
   Intended subject: working through a published round, comparing creators, leaving a comment,
   and recording an approve and a pass.
   Looms were dropped 2026-09-29 (Ana) in favour of Supademos.
*/}

## Before you start

Open the review and select **Review** in the **Build** and **Review** switch. Two things have to be true before anyone sees a creator here, and missing either one shows **No creators yet**.

1. The creator sits in a section. Creators left in **Unassigned** never appear in Review, whatever the display settings say.
2. You have published the round carrying them. [Share rounds and hand off approved creators](/docs/saas/creator-review/rounds/) covers publishing.

## Layouts

Three layouts show the same creators differently, and the choice is a reading preference rather than a setting that changes anything about the review.

| Layout | Use when |
| --- | --- |
| **Grid** | You want to compare a section's creators against each other at a glance. |
| **List** | You want the statistics lined up in columns and are working through the roster in order. |
| **Theatre** | You are presenting live, or you want one creator at a time. It shows a single creator full screen rather than a roster. |

## What a reviewer sees on a creator

Selecting a creator opens their full details: the rationale under **WHY THIS CREATOR**, the pinned examples under **SAMPLE CONTENT**, their tags, and whichever statistics the display settings leave on. [Creator Review](/docs/saas/creator-review/) covers what each part holds, and [Customize what reviewers see](/docs/saas/creator-review/customize/) covers which of them a reviewer gets.

Use **Previous creator** and **Next creator** to work along a section without returning to the roster.

## How to discuss a creator

Select **Open comments** on a creator, or **Toggle comments** in their detail panel, to start or read a thread with your team.

Use a comment when you need an answer, for example whether a creator has worked with a competitor. Use a note for a standing fact about working with someone, which is not a discussion and does not expect a reply.

## Approve and pass

Each creator carries an **APPROVE** and a **PASS** control, and decisions save as you make them. No separate submission step closes the review, so a half-decided review is a normal state rather than an unfinished one.

Passing can require a reason. **Require Pass Reason** is off by default, so unless you turned it on, a reviewer can pass on a creator with no explanation. With it on, the reviewer picks a suggested reason or writes their own before the pass registers.

## Find pending and passed creators

Filter by status, section, tier, search, and tags to work through what is left. **Hide Passed** controls whether passed creators stay on screen, so turning it off is how you revisit a decision or explain one to the team.

A creator vanishing right after a decision is almost always a filter rather than a deletion. The default view hides passed creators, so approving or passing someone removes them from a pending-only list immediately.

## Troubleshooting

Two questions come up most often when you work in Review, and both have a quick answer:

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="The brand says the review is empty">
    Two different causes produce the same message, so check both.

    The creators are still in **Unassigned**. A creator has to sit in a section before Review shows them, and this holds even with a published round and **Unassigned Creators** turned on. In **Build**, select the creators, open **Actions**, and choose **Move to** your section.

    Or you have not published a round yet. Publish Round 1 from **Build**.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="A creator disappeared after you made a decision">
    A filter is active. The default view hides passed creators, so a pass removes the creator from the list at once. Turn **Hide Passed** off, or clear the status filter, to bring them back.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>
