# Build a creator review

{/*
DRAFT. Fohr admin audience. Created 2026-09-29 (Ana). Doc set: internal/creator-review-doc-set.md
NOT IN NAVIGATION ON PURPOSE. See index.mdx's comment block.

RESTRUCTURED 2026-09-30 (Ana). This page was 1959 words carrying three jobs. It is now the roster
task only. What left, and where it went:
  - Goals and the forecast -> forecast.mdx (the task) and index.mdx (what the figures mean)
  - Rationales and sample content -> rationales.mdx
  - Lanes, sections, and the section requirement as concepts -> index.mdx
  - The BUILD WORKFLOW panel table -> dropped, it restated the page list
  - Creating a review, from index.mdx -> step 1 here

VERIFIED HANDS-ON 2026-09-29, Playwright against app.fohr.co, reading only, plus test review 33959
("DOCS TEST - WriteChoice - do not use", brand "Fohr Test") created 2026-09-29 with Ana's
authorization:
  - Start a New Review panel: a title field, a BRAND selector (the only required field, asterisked),
    "Create Review", and the hint "Campaign, goal, sections, and creators can all be added after."
  - "Add Section", "Add Creators", "Search creators", and the five filters (Section, Tier, Status,
    Tags, Sort) with "Approved + pending" and "Custom Order" as the values in place.
  - Add Creators sources, all five, verbatim.
  - Add Section dialog fields: "Section name", "# of target creators", and a platform with
    "Any Platform" among the options. Buttons "Add" and "Cancel".
  - Paste handles panel: heading "Add from Handles or List", helper "Paste handles, profile links,
    or list rows - one per line.", an "ADD TO" choice of Top Picks or Alternates, and a submit
    button carrying the resolved count ("Add 4 Creators").
  - Pasting 4 handles resolved only 2, with no message naming the failures. Logged as a product
    finding in internal/flags-for-fohr.md.
  - Bulk bar on selection: "N of N selected", "Select All in Section", "Actions". The Actions menu
    holds "Reset to Pending", "Make Top Pick", "Make Alternate", and "Move to <section>".
  - "Portfolio Stats · Filtered view · 10 of 14 creators", "All Sections", "2 Approved",
    "12 Pending", "64 Passed".
  - "Unassigned", the "Organize these creators into sections" empty state and its
    "Create first section" button, and the TOP PICKS lane header with creator and views counts.
  - Creator row: "R1 · NOT SENT", handle, FOLLOWERS / ENG / P75 / DELIV / SHARE per platform, and
    "TikTok not connected" where a platform is missing.
  - Control labels: "Drag to reorder", "Add rationale for <name>", "Select all".

CONFIRMED VIA SME ONLY (Ryan Yu, 2026-09-29): section platform selection driving which statistics a
creator row shows, and linking a review to a campaign pulling that campaign's creators in.

NOT VERIFIED AND NOT WRITTEN: what the reordering controls do when a filter is active. The Notion
guide's claim that reordering a filtered subset is restricted is left out until someone reproduces it.

Building a review means getting the right creators into the right sections. Everything here happens in **Build**, and none of it reaches the brand until you publish a round.

{/* SUPADEMO PLACEHOLDER
   A Supademo belongs here. Per writer-skill it sits right after the intro paragraph, introduced
   with a lead-in sentence using "Explore" as the verb, and embedded as:
     <Video src="{supademo embed url}" title="..." />
   Intended subject: creating a review, adding creators, creating a section, and moving people into it.
*/}

## Before you start

Have the brand in place. You cannot create a review without it, and you cannot change it afterward. For what sections and lanes are, see [Creator Review](/docs/admin/creator-review/).

## How to build the lineup

Work through these steps in order. Sections have to exist before you can place creators in them, and every creator needs a section before a reviewer can see anyone.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create or open the review">
    Select **Creator Review** in the left sidebar to reach the **Creator Reviews** list.

    To start a new one, name it in the **Start a New Review** panel and choose the **BRAND**. Name it for the lineup rather than the date, since the name is what the brand's reviewers see at the top of the review. You add the campaign, goal, sections, and creators afterward.

    To open an existing review, select **Open →** on its card.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Connect the campaign or bulletin">
    Select the edit control beside the review title to open **Review details**, then **Change** to connect a campaign or bulletin, or **Unlink** to remove a connection.

    Do this before generating rationales. A connected campaign supplies its brief as the review's context, so connecting afterward means regenerating work you have already done.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Add creators">
    Select **Add Creators**. It offers five sources, and you can mix them in one review.

    | Source | Use when |
    | --- | --- |
    | **Search creators** | You are starting from scratch and want to find people by their profile. |
    | **Paste handles or a list** | You already have the names, from a brief, a spreadsheet, or a client email. |
    | **From a campaign** | The campaign already holds the people you want to review. |
    | **From a bulletin** | You are reviewing applicants to an open opportunity. |
    | **From groups** | You keep a saved group for this brand or this kind of work. |

    **Paste handles or a list** is the most predictable of the five. It opens **Add from Handles or List**, takes handles, profile links, or list rows one per line, and asks under **ADD TO** whether they join **Top Picks** or **Alternates**. The submit button carries the count it resolved, reading **Add 4 Creators**.

    That count is what the handles matched, not what you pasted. Four handles resolving to two creators shows **Add 2 Creators**, and nothing names the two that failed. Read the number against your list before adding, since a lineup built from a client's list can come out short with nothing on screen saying so.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Create the sections">
    Select **Add Section**. The dialog takes a **Section name**, an optional **# of target creators**, and a platform.

    Name sections for the job the creators in them do, matching the campaign's own categories, since the section name is what a reviewer compares people within.

    Choose the platform you will actually judge that section's creators on. It decides which platform's statistics their rows show, and **Any Platform** shows Instagram and TikTok side by side.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Place every creator into a section">
    Select the creators, open **Actions**, and choose **Move to** the section you want. The same menu holds **Make Top Pick**, **Make Alternate**, and **Reset to Pending**. **Select All in Section** takes the whole visible group at once.

    Leave nobody in **Unassigned**. A creator who is not in a section never appears in Review, even after you publish the round carrying them and even with the **Unassigned Creators** display setting enabled.

    Use **Drag to reorder** to set the order inside a lane. The **Sort** filter has to be on **Custom Order** for a manual arrangement to hold.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Every creator now sits in a section, which is what makes the roster publishable. Set the goals and rationales next, or publish Round 1 straight away.

## Filters and portfolio stats

Five filters sit above the roster: **Section**, **Tier**, **Status**, **Tags**, and **Sort**. The **Portfolio Stats** panel reports on the filtered roster and says so, reading **Filtered view** with the count it is describing, for example **Filtered view · 10 of 14 creators**.

Two defaults are worth knowing before you read any number on this screen. **Status** starts on **Approved + pending**, which hides passed creators, and **Sort** starts on **Custom Order**. The approved, pending, and passed counts beside the panel are for the whole review, so they will not match a filtered panel, and that is what the **Filtered view** label is telling you.

## Troubleshooting

Three questions come up most often when you build a review, and all three have a quick answer:

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="A creator shows no statistics, or shows a platform not connected message">
    The section's platform is one the creator has no connected account on. Either move them to a section whose platform matches, or change the section to **Any Platform**. A missing connection is not the same as zero performance, and it does not mean the creator is a poor fit.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="Fewer creators arrived than you pasted">
    Handles that match nothing drop out without a message. The submit button counts what resolved, so compare that number against your list before adding, and add the missing creators by searching for them instead.
  </Accordion>
  <Accordion title="The roster does not match the counts beside Portfolio Stats">
    A filter is active. **Status** defaults to **Approved + pending**, which hides passed creators until you change it. The panel says which subset it is reporting on, reading **Filtered view** with the creator count.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>
